I'm Trish Plucknette, owner, teacher, baker, and cookie decorator for Spoonful of Sugar Sweets, LLC. I am a lucky mama to three littles and I absolutely love anything to do outdoors! I love to bake and after a lot of encouragement from family and friends over the last couple of years, I decided to turn my love for cookies and all things sweet into something more. I started this small business in August of 2019 and have enjoyed making yummy and creative treats for you ever since! Nothing makes me happier than to be a small part of your life celebrations!

How do I place an order?

There is a drop down option for "Custom Order Form" on the main menu.

How far in advance should I place an order?

The sooner the better! My minimum notice (without a miracle fee) is two weeks. However, I am typically booked about 4-6 weeks from any given date, so if you want to make sure I am available, please don't hesitate to get your requests in as soon as you can!

Is there a minimum order?

Yes, the minimum amount for custom orders is 1 dozen per flavor. Holiday pre-sales are the perfect time to order if you are wanting less than 1 dozen cookies at a time, because I usually have many smaller options available,

How do I get my sweets? Do you offer shipping or deliver?

I am located in the Village of Bergen, NY for pick up. The exact address is provided upon order confirmation. I can deliver if requested and the fee will depend on mileage. I do not ship. If you are not near Rochester and know someone local who is willing to pick up your cookies and take responsibility for shipping them on their own, that is fine! Once sweets have left my pickup chest, I am not responsible for any damage.

Do I pay up front? How do you accept payment?

Payment is required at time of order. Your order/date is not considered confirmed until payment is received. After placing your request, I will send you an invoice which needs to be paid within 48 hours to hold your date on my calendar. Orders over $200 that are placed more than 2 months in advance, have an option of a 50% non-refundable deposit with the remaining balance due 2 weeks before pickup. I accept all major credit cards through your invoice.

How can I expect my cookies to be packaged?

All sugar cookies come heat sealed for freshness. This is included. Ribbons can be added to the cookies for an additional fee. Cookies can be individually boxed for an additional packaging fee as well. Ribbons are encouraged when using cookies as favors at an event. Individual boxes make cookies look extra presentable when gifting!

How long do they stay fresh? Can your cookies be frozen?

My sugar cookies stay fresh in their heat-sealed bags for up to 10 days or frozen for a few months. Yes, they can be frozen! My sugar cookies freeze beautifully, and freezing is a great option for left over cookies or cookies that need to be picked up in advance from your event date. Keep cookies in their heat-sealed bags and place in an airtight container to be put in your freezer. Take cookies out of the freezer when you are ready and the most important thing to remember is to KEEP the cookies in their sealed bags in the airtight container to thaw and reach room temperature. This allows for any condensation to be absorbed by the bag instead of damaging the cookie.

What if I need to cancel my order?

I understand that things happen, and plans change that may cause you to need to cancel your order. A full refund can be offered if NO work has been started on your cookies and it is more than 2 weeks from your scheduled pick-up time. If work has already started on your cookies (which is extremely likely if you are within 2 weeks of your pickup date), then I may not be able to offer you a full refund,
